Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 25 May 2026
We've kept these as short and human as we can. By using this website or working with us, you're agreeing to what's below. If anything's unclear, just email us β we're happy to explain.
1. Who we are
Escape from Europe is a service provided by GB Translation, based at Harju maakond, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, 10115 Tallinn, Estonia. VAT no.: EE102456293. When we say "we", "us" or "Escape from Europe", that's who you're dealing with.
2. What we actually do
We're a consulting and introduction service. We help you figure out where in the world might suit you, and then we connect you with trusted people on the ground β tax advisors, immigration lawyers, real-estate agents, relocation helpers and so on β who handle the specialised work in your destination country.
Think of us as the people who point you to the right experts and help you make sense of the bigger picture. We are not a law firm, an accountancy practice, an immigration agency, a travel agent, or an estate agent.
3. This is not professional advice
Nothing on this website or in our consulting is legal, tax, financial, immigration or investment advice. It's general guidance to help you think clearly and ask better questions. Rules change, and everyone's situation is different β so always get independent professional advice and confirm anything important with official government sources before you act.
4. Other providers we introduce you to
We may introduce you to third-party providers in your destination country. These people and companies are completely independent of us. If you choose to work with them:
- You contract with them directly, on their terms.
- They may bill you separately, in their own country and currency.
- We don't control their work, their fees, their advice or their conduct.
- We're not responsible for what they do, fail to do, or charge.
We introduce people in good faith because we think they're good β but the decision to hire them, and the relationship after that, is yours.
5. Our own services are consulting only
Everything we do for you directly is to be understood as pure consulting. Even if we lend a hand with practical things β like helping you find flights, fill in a form, organise a scouting trip, or line up appointments β that's still guidance. We don't take responsibility for those bookings, documents, or arrangements, or for the outcomes of decisions you make based on our consulting.
6. We can't promise outcomes
Immigration, residency, tax and property results depend on governments, third parties, timing and your own circumstances β none of which we control. We can't and don't guarantee any specific result, such as a visa being approved or a tax saving being achieved.
7. The honest list β things that can go wrong
Relocating is a big move with lots of moving parts. Among other things:
- A visa or residency application is delayed, refused, or later revoked.
- Laws, taxes or immigration rules change β sometimes suddenly.
- A third-party provider makes a mistake, misses a deadline, charges more than expected, or doesn't deliver.
- Your tax outcome differs from what you expected, or your home country treats things differently than you hoped.
- A property turns out differently than it looked, or a deal falls through.
- Travel gets disrupted β flights, bookings, or appointments change or get cancelled.
- The cost of living or exchange rates move against you.
- Opening a bank account or moving money is declined or delayed.
- Settling in is simply harder than expected β language, culture, schools, paperwork.
We'll do our best to help you prepare for these, but we can't prevent them and we're not liable when they happen.
8. Fees & payments
The price and scope of our consulting will be agreed with you before we start. Our fees cover our consulting time only. Any fees charged by third-party providers are separate and are a matter between you and them. If we offer refunds for a particular service, the terms will be set out when you book it.
9. Your side of the deal
Please give us accurate and complete information, make your own final decisions, follow the laws that apply to you, and keep your own copies of important documents. Good decisions need good inputs.
10. Limit of our responsibility
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect or knock-on losses (for example lost profits, missed opportunities, or third-party costs). Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in question. Nothing here removes any liability that can't legally be excluded.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when we last did. Continuing to use the site or our services after a change means you accept the new version.
12. Law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Questions? Email us at info@escapefromeurope.com β we read everything.
