Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 May 2026

Your trust matters to us, so we'll keep this simple. Here's what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who's responsible for your data

Escape from Europe is a service provided by GB Translation, Harju maakond, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, 10115 Tallinn, Estonia (VAT no.: EE102456293). We are the "data controller" for the information described here. You can reach us any time at info@escapefromeurope.com.

2. What we collect

We only collect what we need to help you:

  • When you fill in our form: your name, email, the country you live in now, your family situation, your income range, and whatever you choose to tell us in the message.
  • When you use the AI matcher: the situation, priorities and timeline you type in to get a country suggestion.
  • Basic technical data: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (like IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.

We don't ask for sensitive data, and please don't send us things like passport scans or financial documents through the website.

3. Why we use it (and our legal basis)

  • To reply to you and understand your situation β€” based on your consent and on taking steps to enter into a service agreement with you.
  • To give you a country match through the AI tool β€” based on your consent when you submit it.
  • To run, secure and improve our service β€” based on our legitimate interests.

4. The AI matcher

When you use the AI matcher, what you type is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) purely to generate your suggested destination, and is shown back to you. We don't store your AI matcher input to build a profile on you. If you'd rather not use it, you can simply browse the destinations and contact us directly instead.

5. Who helps us process it

We use a few trusted providers to run the service. They only handle your data to do their job for us:

  • Web3Forms β€” delivers our contact form submissions to us.
  • OpenAI β€” powers the AI matcher.
  • Vercel β€” hosts the website.
  • Google (Google Ads) β€” measures how well our ads work and helps us show relevant ads. See cookies below.
  • Clicky β€” privacy-friendly website analytics so we can see how the site is used.
  • Our email provider β€” so we can reply to you.

To measure ad performance more accurately, we may share a hashed (encrypted) version of your email with Google when you submit our form ("enhanced conversions"). It's scrambled so it can't be read as your actual email, and it's used only to match a conversion to an ad click.

If you decide to move forward, and only with your agreement, we may share relevant details with the third-party providers we introduce you to (such as a tax advisor or lawyer) so they can help you. We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.

6. Sending data outside the EU

Some of our providers (for example OpenAI, Google and Clicky) process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards β€” such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses β€” to keep your data protected to EU standards.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to help you and to meet any legal or accounting obligations. After that, we delete it. If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will β€” see your rights below.

8. Cookies & tracking

We keep this light, but we do use a few cookies and similar technologies:

  • Analytics (Clicky): to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful, so we can improve the site.
  • Advertising (Google Ads): to measure which of our ads lead to enquiries, and to show our ads to people who've shown interest (remarketing).
  • Web fonts: loading our fonts involves a request to the font provider.

You can control or block cookies in your browser settings, opt out of personalised Google ads at myadcenter.google.com, and opt out of Clicky tracking at clicky.com/help/optout. We don't sell your data, and we don't use these tools to identify you personally. If you'd prefer we add a cookie-consent banner, just let us know β€” we're happy to.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • See the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct anything that's wrong;
  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten");
  • Limit or object to how we use it;
  • Receive a copy in a portable format;
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.

Just email info@escapefromeurope.com and we'll sort it out. If you're ever unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) at aki.ee.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to keep your data safe. No website or system is ever 100% secure, though, so please don't send us anything highly sensitive through the site.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy now and then. The "last updated" date at the top shows when we last changed it.
